7 years of hurt!
I'ma get so po-litical, right now! Either you're an idiot, you're one of the 1,000,000 people in brand spanking new public sector jobs or you vote with your house price, but either which way, this country is worse off now then it was 7 years ago. New Labour came in to office with promises and more promises. You gave them a second term (I wasn't old enough to vote last general election) and they've just messed up more (messed- Should have been a stronger word!). I'm not going to claim to know how you live! I don't know what your life like! But I will tell you this, I'm in the grind. I'm not on the grind, but I see how the grinders live. I came through and out of a New Labour school system (with little to no qualifications). I tried to get work after leaving school through a series of New Labour scemes (no luck). I am a politicaly minded person and I see with my own 2, that this government has done nothing but destroy the character and soul of this country over the last 7 years! I want to do something about it!
Now, I wouldn't have picked Michael Howard as leader of The Conservative party! I woudn't have voted for William Hague or Ian Duncan Smith either for that matter! But looking at the current landscape of the Tory party, I can see that Michael Howard is the only man with the balls and ideas to overthrow this horrible government! I've heard Charles Kennedy running around calling himself the only real competition for Tony Blair in May. He's an idiot and the Lib Dems are a bunch of idiots! I couldn't even begin to imagine the corrupt agendas within that party right now! I don't care how left-wing you are, you can't deny that the state and mind frame of this country has deteriorated over the last 7 years. I know that the state-school system has gone to pot! With school kids treating teachers and adults generally like rubbish (rubbish- Should have been a stronger word!) The working class areas of south-London have surcome to gang lords and street battles! With police presence little to none! The disgusting ignorance of New Labour makes me sick. To hear that whenever Michael Howard announces a popular policy for the next election, New Labour cry 'Populist' and 'Cheap'. This New Labour that have been fighting the last 3 elections on what The Conservatives have or haven't done over the last 20 years. It's time to fight an election on your results Mr. Blair!
So to hear this morning the discussion on the radio was about The Tories announcing, firstly that they'd tear down the Speeding cameras, that have been raising revenue for the Blairites to create departments for mates and mates-mates to govern sandwich length or some such nonsense. They will also rip up the Fire truck, Ambulance and Police car menaces, the speed bumps. Michael Howard is clearly targeting a key deomgraphic, the driver in the U.K who has been treated like scum by this government. I read allot from New Labour about Michael Howard's sums not adding up! That he's promising more then he can deliver. Michael Howard has already promised to cut the levels of local government and government interference. Just taking the 1,000,000 public sector jobs created by New Labour in the last 7 years. At about £30, 000 Per year (i'm pretty sure it's more then that, but hey!) New Labour throw away about £30, 000, 000, 000 and that's just per year. I'm sure that there are more departments in Local government that add up to Council taxes raising way above the rate of inflation over the last 7 years.
Ultimately, I think the important policies of The Conservatives in may, are. Less interference from the 'Nanny-State', less interference from the Europeans. The closing of the boarders to the U.K. The lowering of Council taxes, the promise of a more honest government. Michael Howard came and stood in the middle of Brixton and promised more Police men on the streets of Britain! Focus on bringing our school system and our NHS back to prominence! I can't tell you what policies the Labour Party will be fighting their election on! Just that 'The Tories brought the poll tax in in '92'. That's not politics Blair/ Brown, that sounds like the spoiling tactics of a losing school boy!
Sheeeeeiit, I was ranting! But seriously, we need change in the U.K, don't get it twisted! Get it right!
Tego!
