Saigon chatting shit again!
Is this why Saigon will never blow? Talking so much shit about other people's career's without putting yourself on the line for the people too judge I think is a real bitch move. I'm a huge Saigon fan! Have been for aboout 3 years now, but every time I read an interview from the Yard Father, he seems so much more concerned with other people and the state of hip-hop that his music becomes tainted for me. He seems scared to put himself on the line and release a product. Not even a single with a video? So what if TRL never play it? How you gonna change the industry on the phone to Cedric taking long shots at crunk, Papoose, Lil Kim, Eminem and radio? Doesn't even mention his album!
Get off your soap box Sai.

XXL go XXXL

Damn. This is one of the best hip-hop magazines I've read in a long time! The Dame Dash and Cam'ron issue was interesting, but this one could be the best issue of a hip-hop magazine I've ever read! XXL seem to be more interested in the human side of the music and the artistry in hip-hop as opposed to the sensationalist, ignorance of it's main rival (who is picking up at the moment! They're climbing back up, but the slips are still a bit to frequent.)

Arsenal Update.
As the season ahead looks like a hard one for Arsenal. We've done very little in the transfer market to build on last season's 2nd place finish, we also seem to have missed out on Shaun Wright-Phillips who appears to be on his way to Chelsea. Still, there is good news at Arsenal. The first is that during Arsenal's first pre-season friendly againt Barnet (a game that we won 4-1) We were give our new captain! All hail the leader, as well as being the finest player on the face of the planet and one of the most respected figures in world football he is now our captain. Thierry Henry is a truly deserving Captain, one of the most passionate and loyal players to wear the badge! The only other candidate for the arm band, Ashley Cole has also put an end to all of his recent transfer speculation by signing a Contract extension. We've taken French centre-back Phillipe Christanval on Trial. The 26 year old was widely considered to be one of France's hottest defensive prospects at Monaco, before signing to Barcelona, where he was not given a fair chance. He moved back to France to play for Marseilles where injury hampered his opportunities. He's gained 6 Full caps and could become a great squad player for Arsenal. Not that it helps much but, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Patrick Vieira's sale was a Mutual Decision.
We need to sign some players Arsene!

Tin Pan Alley Round up!!!
Sunday was serious. Me, Marvin, Dego and Jack went up to Tin Pan Alley at about 4pm. We watched The Cherubs from a bit of a distance, when we were given Press Passes that allowed us to move around backstage. We watched Steve Diggle from the side of the stage, and honestly it was some seriously boring s***. Art Brut arrived backstage having just returned from Italy (Bologna, Turin and Rome). We spoke, we told them that we were performing the after show party and they were on. The Brut really stole the crowd, some funny crowd surfing and chanting made The Brut's performance truly awesome! The change of "Art Brut Top of The Pops" to "Art Brut CD:UK" Was genius! We missed The Subways because we had to go and sound check. With an hour or so to kill before our stage time, we went off with Ben Official acting as roadie to Icco and bought authentic Italian Pizzas. We walked back and chilled in the venue for a while, the 2 women in Cabaret outfits (didn't I mention them?) gave out Champaign all night. Took the stage just after 10pm. Took a track or 2 to get the crowd involved (although Ian and Freddy from Art Brut were pretty involved, pretty early on. Brut tour manager Ed Idiot got his hands on a Champaign bottle or 2 and had a great time) but by the time we got to the last 2 tracks 'Prime Number' and 'Stay off the Kane' we truly had the crowd in the palms of our hands. Reluctantly Why Lout? Left the stage to a rapturous applause. John Kennedy who hosted the actual festival, came outside while we were cooling off and told us that he'd enjoyed himself, which is always good to hear a big figure in UK music say.
August 5th is our last Dublin Castle gig and will be a hell of a night.

My 2 new favorite blogs!
The first is a unique look at horses, HorseHater is a blog with some serious issues! Seriously funny though! "REALLY F***ING GENIUS WHEN YOU HAVE TO NAIL YOUR CLOTHES TO YOUR RETARDED ASS!!" Good point well made I think!
The second is a blog dedicated to the Houston Hip-Hop scene (the second most important at the moment. 1. Atlanta, 2. Houston, 3. London) HoustonSoReal is a quality site!
